The red coneflower, or better known by its Latin name Echinacea purpurea, was already used by the North American Indians for medicinal purposes and is traditionally often used for susceptibility to colds. Nasturtium and horseradish are rich in naturally pungent-tasting glucosinoleates, which are converted into mustard oils in the body. Mustard oils are said to have an effect against bacteria and viruses.
