How does Urgo Filmogel Damaged Nails work?
Urgo Filmogel Damaged Nails is indicated for the protection and treatment of nails weakened by fungal infections or minor trauma. These damages are defined as alterations that do not require nail removal and do not compromise the integrity of the nail plate.
The product contains hydroxypropylchitosan, a natural polymer (derived from crab shells) that interacts with the nail structure to strengthen it. It is invisible, odorless, dries very quickly, and integrates easily with the nail structure.
When applied, Urgo Filmogel Damaged Nails forms a protective and stabilizing layer on the nail surface, shielding it from microbiological, chemical, or physical aggressions. This product promotes the growth of healthy, regenerated, and protected nails. It is a simple and quick solution whose effectiveness depends on consistent and diligent use.
Instructions for Use:
- Apply the product with a brush to the clean, dry surface of the nail.
- Apply the product once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime.
- The layer is water-soluble; therefore, it is recommended to apply it before bedtime to ensure optimal action duration on the nail.
- The product does not require filing or the use of solvents for removal.
Treatment Follow-Up:
The results of the treatment with Urgo Filmogel Damaged Nails become visible gradually as the nail grows back. Do not expect immediate improvements. The earlier the damage is treated, the faster it will disappear! Fingernails grow on average 1 cm per quarter, while toenails grow only about 1/3 cm during the same period. Additionally, nail growth slows with age.
