Parodentosan® Mouthwash
What is Parodentosan Mouthwash and when is it used?
Parodentosan Mouthwash is an antiseptic used for conditions of the oral cavity and for oral hygiene. It contains chlorhexidine, which has a broad antimicrobial effect against bacteria and fungi, as well as plant-based ingredients with a mild astringent effect that help reduce swelling of inflamed gums and protect exposed tooth necks.
Parodentosan Mouthwash is used for the prevention and treatment of infections in the mouth and throat caused by bacteria or fungi, to prevent infections before and after dental procedures, and to promote oral hygiene.
What does Parodentosan Mouthwash contain?
1 ml of solution for oral use contains:
Active ingredients:
0.5 mg chlorhexidine digluconate,1.9 mg myrrh tincture (1:5), extraction solvent 90% ethanol (v/v),0.5 mg sage oil
Excipients:
Sodium fluoride, peppermint oil, glycerol (E 422), xylitol (E 967), acesulfame potassium (E 950), 15 mg macroglycerol hydroxystearate, 16% ethanol, hydrochloric acid (for pH adjustment), purified water

Parodentosan Mouthwash is available in pharmacies and drugstores without a prescription.
It is provided in bottles with a dosing aid containing 250 ml of solution for oral use.
